The MSNBC article that describes this can be found here. It opens with the following paragraph -
"Here are the seven secrets to a long life: Stay away from cigarettes. Keep a slender physique. Get some exercise. Eat a healthy diet and keep your cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugar in check."
Unfortunately this does not go far enough as many of my readers will realize. If it was this easy to live a long life, there would be many more octogenarians out here. There is no mention of hsCRP, inflammation, or homocystine and the suggestions for improving your heart disease risk are all the same as we have heard before.
Even with these limitations, I encourage you to do the test and get motivated and inspired to take better care of your heart if this is an issue for you. And find a health care provider knowledgeable about the other risk factors for heart disease for more help.
My own score was 6.6/10 - my cholesterol and lack of exercise brought my score down from closer to the top best score.
Try the test at this page - hope you score better than I did.
